I was diagnosed with keratoconus which is a degenerative disease of the cornea. In December of 2003, Dr. Biscoe performed a successful corneal transplant on the left eye. Everything was going fine. I could see really well out of the eye. Five days after I took the stitches out, I was in a hurry on my way to church, and I stopped my car to get something out of the trunk and busted the left eye open with the corner of the trunk door of my car. He suggested to my mother and me that we fly to Boston to do some additional repair, and he flew with us. He was really, really generous to us, really, really nice, and it has just been really a pleasure and a blessing. Again, I'm thankful to God, the greatest physician, for having blessed me with the best one that we have here for my eyes, Dr Byron Biscoe.
